Automate Your APA Article Review
Automate Your APA Article ReviewDo you use an APA article review as part of your content management system? If you do, do you have an easy and reliable way to make sure that the items you reviewed are only your items? In other words, do you know what the behavior of the software should be when reviewing articles in your repository? Is the APA review process easy to follow?I first used an article management tool when I was trying to add an extra layer of professionalism to my website. By this, I mean that I wanted my visitors to be able to come back and see what was new or different on my website without having to refresh the page in order to see all the changes.I needed a way to mark up my content so that it was easily referenced as well as a means of searching for relevant information so that I could find out more about someone's strategies, ways, and ideas. At the time, I was using a program called Article Review (ARC) with php. I was not a professional writer, but I knew that the concept was the same. I knew that it would help me to create the documentation I needed. The problem was that I had no idea how to use php. So, I tried to go through the entire process by hand. It took me hours to copy-paste and type. Not only did it take me time to get things done, it also was error prone because I wrote the code by hand and it was very difficult to fix or change. In short, my PHP article library had a lot of problems. And because I was trying to create an arc-based management system, those problems were costing me more than they were worth. I ended up having to manually fix all the problems and I was having a hard time getting anything done. So, I decided that I needed to use an automated system to do it for me.After I learned how to use an article review to create documentation that was user friendly, I needed to figure out how to update my articles as I made changes to them. That was even harder, because we all know that it is frustrating when someone on your staf f can't figure out how to update the content that you posted on your website. I figured that there had to be some kind of automated method that could help me do that for me. So, I decided to spend a few hours trying to figure out how to do it.The solution that I eventually found was an XML processor. It turns out that these were developed specifically to be able to write XML content. I was able to get XML documents into the system that enabled me to write changes and then let the system do the rest. The XML processor was also able to pull content from my articles so that I could keep up with the changing needs of my visitors and of the company. With the XML processor and with my php knowledge, the process of updating my content was simplified. Of course, I still had to write the XML and update the php. But, that was an easy job because I already knew how to do it in php.
